Butterflies

Temporary exhibition

From 18 December 2026 to 22 October 2028

Uncover the mysteries of butterflies...

Did you know that there are over 180,000 known species of butterflies, in an exceptional variety of shapes, sizes and colours? While these insects are particularly beloved for their beauty and symbolism, in their caterpillar form, they are met with fear and disgust.
Through this colourful exhibition, discover the insect’s successive stages: from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis and finally butterfly. Over 260 specimens, photos, videos and objects from all over the world shed light on the beliefs associated with these creatures and call upon us to protect them.
